What a view

Had a beautiful ride down Beach Rd this morning as part of the monthly BBC brekky ride. Just a 30km ride to Black Rock and back, but it was just an awesome morning for a ride. There was no breeze, the sun was breaking through the clouds and the view of the Bay at that time of the morning was just lovely. The boys set a nice pace that I could comfortably keep up with, and I almost kept with the wheel infront on the inclines too, so I didn't drop backwards. I also did a turn at the front for a bit and they didn't complain at all at the pace - the boys were being nice this morning and was helped that SC aka Mhayli wasn't at the front with Parawolf setting the pace ;)

The last few weeks I have been doing the weekend rides again and been doing 50-60km rides which is helping me get back a bit of fitness which is great cos I can notice an improvement. It was just lack of doing the longer rides that has affected me a bit, it is amazing how a few weeks of not doing this can have quite an impact. I think I need to increase my commute and throw in a boulie lap or two into the mix during the week as well.

A massive thanks to Christine also for bringing in her old PS1 for me :D At this point it is a good thing, but who knows, if I get horribly addicted, it may be a bad thing :D I can't plug it in though until I do a few things around the house like clean my bike and do some homely duties.

I have a dilemma - do I try to have a long afternoon nap in the hope that I can stay up late tonight to watch the world cup final or so I just soldier through and see how late I can stay awake for?

I would like it on public record that my reason for not doing the April BBC ride was that I was busy doing a first aid course and had nothing to do with me being a soft c***. If I hadn't been doing the course..... well, the clouds did look a bit threatening. :P

Ooooh that's right, you are excused this time mhayli!

The realy question though is - would you have ridden if you didn't have the firsst aid course? :P
