Sad Panda

I have my first ever cold sore, WTF?!?! I haven't even been kissing any strange (or known) boys lately! It is massive and I kid you not. I was worried about the swelling this morning so I went to the Dr's and she said that the first one is usually a doozy and that it definitely is. She told me to keep using the zovirax and gave me some tablets that might help it go away faster. The Dr reckons that I have probably had the virus for years but it has now decided to say hello and that it could be due to the sneezing and allergies from Sunday making me a bit run down etc - that could be the last time I help someone move house who has a cat. I wonder if I should tell people I walked into a door and see what their reaction is...

I also got the Dr to check out my ears and they seem ok but from what I was describing she thinks I have fluid in my ear somewhere and that there is no real treatment for it, it will just go away. I could try blowing up a balloon as that will help to open the ear tubey bits to drain the liquid. This explains the discomfort and the hearing problems I have been having. It isn't going to cause permanent damage but it could take a while to clear up.
