Four in a day

For years I have said that I am not scared of dying, I am scared of growing old. After spending about 16 years of my life to the age of 22 visiting my mothers parents in nursing homes every weekend and having my grandma live with us for several years in that time, I have more than a bit of an insight into old age. Tonight on Denton, he had an interview with Dr. Philip Nitschke and it was quite interesting. While I admit that I don't really know a lot about what and how he does things, but from his interview on Denton he makes a lot of sense and he isn't doing thing willy nilly - he has his own self applied rules. I think that people should have the choice of euthanasia - if a pet animal is sick we will put it down, but a relative/friend/loved one is terminally ill we will make them endure some of the worst pain possible - surely this is wrong!
