Annual Leave!

Tomorrow is my last day at work for 18 days, or 12 work days. I honestly don't know the last time I had such a big chunk of time off. I am really trying to think and I don't know. The past three or four Christmases I have had the standard 2 weeks (7 days of actual leave) and then in Nov 06 I had less than 2 weeks for the Great Vic Bike Ride when I volunteered. In 2005 (I think) I went to Tassie but it was a week maybe. Wow! Almost 3 weeks off work - un-heard of for me!

What do I have planned for my leave? Not a lot! Each night I will watch Le Tour on SBS and then sleep in the following day and if it isn't crappy weather then I plan to ride my bike (every day?) but other than that, nothing is set in concrete! I want to try to ride the majority of the local bike trails around Melbourne and catch up with people for lunch and/or dinner and try to go to get to as much as possible by bike. This will be greatly helped by getting the pannier racks for my shopping bike so I don't have to put shopping in my crumpler over the shoulder bag.
I want to organise my bike room too. I have a room for everything bike, but I just kinda dumped bits n pieces in there so I need to structure it a bit so ALL my bikes live there and not just the bikes not currently in use.

I also plan to go and see my niece a bit and go watch her at her swimming lessons - she loves her swimming so much! I might even steal her for a day and take her on an adventure somewhere and give my sister a day to herself, because spending a day with my niece, just the two of us, would be awesome - any ideas? Maybe the Collingwood Children's farm or something else that is interactive to entertain a 3.5 year old - suggestions welcome!

I may go an over night road trip somewhere if I feel like it, but wherever I head to will need to have SBS reception!
