I went to see my GP yesterday for another appointment about my sinuses, I now have to get a CT scan done of them plus I have a referral to an allergy specialist. The CT scan might take a few weeks to get an appointment and the Allergy specialist appointment will probably be even longer so if the scan comes back as being polyps or something then I will cancel with the Allergy specialist and make an appointment to see an Ear Nose and Throat Specialist. To be honest I'm not sure what outcome I would prefer. With polyps at least then I know what it is and I can possibly have surgery to get it fixed, however an operation is never ideal. If it's allergies then it's been going on for a LONG time and it could take a while to sort out what it actually is. Being an asthmatic it's probably allergies, plus this week I stopped taking the anti histamines (Tuesday) and now today I have hayfever - co-incidence? I think not :( So I am going to go back onto taking two a day which isn't a cheap thing to be doing :(
I've also requested some blood tests to be done to check on things like cholesterol, kidney and liver function, glucose, thyroid etc etc just to see how things are as it's been at least 10 years since I last had a big blood test done. Due to the tests I'm having done, I need to fast and go in first thing in the morning so I will try to head in on a Saturday morning.
While I was at the doc's I also got the little bumpy things on my foot frozen which means that today I am having a bit of trouble walking on my left foot - they aren't anything bad, but they are there and shouldt be so I figured I should get them removed. I also got the swine flu vaccination!
