Jet lagg?

Day 2 of being back at work and I feel extremely tired, lethargic and just want to go back to sleep! I'm calling it Post Tour de France jet lag! I am really not enjoying the 6:30am alarm clock going off in the dark and I'm struggling to stay awake! Hopefully it all gets sorted out by the end of the week because this is not a lot of fun!

I've started walking at nights before dinner now instead of mornings and while part of me misses exercise before work, I think walking at nights is better for me. When I get home from my walks I am stretching and doing all the things I really should be doing but haven't been. I think it's also this that is causing my hip to be a bit sore and grumbly. If I keep stretching and keep going with the physio ball massaging it it should come good and be OK though. I should also probably start doing the strengthening exercises again more regularly for my hip.

Wednesdayitus

I feel rather meh today. It's that time of the month and I just feel meh and sooky and whingey. I know why too, lack of exercise! I've been trying not to until my chest clears a bit more so I pretty much just need to suck it up, but I wont, I'm going to sit at home in my PJ's with chocolate and cheese :D

I went to the Salvadore Dali exhibit today at the NGV and he was one messed up dude!! Very clever and skillful, but messed up!

Can I please have

I would really like to order some new sinuses please! The amount of discomfort/pain that I've been experiencing has really not been a lot of fun along with my ears popping all the time and the gunk now coming out of my nose, I'm very over it! I'm just really trying to focus on the fact that the rhinocort nose spray must actually be working and it's something that I just have to endure to get to the other side. I'm also starting to feel sick in the tummy, the kind of sick you get when you have consumed a lot of snot down your back nasal passage that you can't control - yurgh!

My lungs are feeling better though! Still some rattles and still some shortness of breath at times but getting better which is a great sign. I also spent 10 minutes yesterday vacuuming my arm chair and I think that has helped a huge amount!! My plan is to vacuum the couch and the other arm chair as well as well as dust everything and have a really big clean up in that way, something I tend to be a bit slack about which needs to change. While I dust and clean everything I will also pack as much of the knick knacks that I have and try to sort them out to keep and possibly throw out boxes. I'll try and get started on that tomorrow.

I haven't been sleeping properly either, so while I am on holidays I feel very far from rested (all the above doesn't help). Inactivity probably isn't helping, while I am moving and doing exercise etc, it's not as much as I normally would, maybe the packing will help ;)

Asthmarifferic

So it turns out my lungs are all rattly and chunky and it was good that I went to see the doctor today. She has doubled my preventative and told me to use ventolin as often as I need to, don't be shy with it and to also use ventolin before any exercise or if I start coughing a lot etc to try to manage it as well and to take it with me at all times especially when exercising. I need to take the increased dosage for about 6 weeks and then go back for a review as well as monitoring my breathing on my peak flow. I've also been given a prescription nose spray (rhinocort - bloody expensive!) to take as well twice a day to try to clear up my sinus/nasal area. the doctor also seems to think that all the irritation etc would be increasing my hayfever.

I don't know what's caused it really as it's normally a cold that makes my lungs this bad, but either way we are working on getting it fixed. I really hate having to take even more medication though and carry a ventolin again with me everywhere I go.

I feel really drained and tired tonight.

Holidays

I'm on holidays!! Pitty I don't feel great about it though... I'm having issues with my breathing, not asthma per se but something is up with it and I am now really really sick of my nose seeming to be semi blocked all the time, so tomorrow I am seeing my GP to have my asthma med's reviewed and to see what, if anything, can be done for my nasal passages. I'm also really sick n tired of the sinus issues I seem to be having regularly and it's probably all linked to each other, so time to get it sorted! I'm also really sick of the persistent cough I get every winter and I'm wondering if something can be done about it.

I don't have much planned for my time off other than watching the cycling, cleaning up around the unit and starting to pack some stuff for the move in a few months time - exciting huh! Ahh well I just needed time out so it really doesn't bother me too much if I don't go anywhere, plus I need to save all my pennies for my house.

It will pass

I'm sick of paying out money!!

My rent went up $45 a week and I'm now paying a mortgage so together that's a minimum of $2200 a month which is increasing as my payments to the builder increase. I've also had to pay car rego $600, car insurance $900 and my car needs its 40,000km major service which will be $400-$500 :( I'm also heading to the dentist tomorrow which could be gawd knows how much (hopefully only $100 or so after insurance). This is in conjunction with all my normal bills that need paying - ARGH!!

I'm trying to save money and I am, but not at the rate I want it to be happening, I hate having to dig into my savings for all these expenses. I spose the good news though is that I at least have the savings to pay for them but I want the money for when I'm in my house!

-sigh- I think it's just the combination of car expenses and rent increasing and mortgage starting all happening in the same 2 month period that is just really annoying me.

Need to focus more on spending less to save more!

That's not going to work

Who am I kidding? My last post isn't going to work, far from it! I will do my normal hours and just watch the cycling the next day from what I've recorded... ahh well I still get 2 weeks of it all :D

Le tour is here

It's started, Le Tour de France! Yes that means a week of trying to manage watching as much of the cycling as I can combined with trying to work before I take the final two weeks off work on annual leave to facilitate watching the cycling! Ahh staying up late and sleeping in late - love it!

Anyway, so this week I think I will set myself a deadline of midnight and then get up at 7:30am for work instead of 5:45am. I will also not do my exercise in the morning so I can get as much sleep as possible which means trying to get it done in the evening's and possibly not visiting my house. Being school holidays also helps a lot, I should be able to get to work by 8:30am still.

I wish I could function on little sleep but I just can't!

GO CADEL!!

Almost there

I am having two weeks of holidays starting at the end of next week, that's only 7 days of work left woohoo!! I'm not going away anywhere, instead I am staying home to watch The Tour or should that be le Tour!?! It starts on Saturday night and I'm getting excited!! It goes for 3 weeks and it's going to be awesome! Next week however will be quite painful and I am thinking I will need to change my working hours to accommodate getting enough sleep.

I hadn't planned to go anywhere during my time off for fear of where ever I go not having SBS 2, but I'm thinking that on one of the rest days (nights) I might do a overnight trip somewhere, not sure yet. I'm also going to allow my self some extra money from my budget for the two weeks as well, heck I'm on holidays so I should be able to live it up a bit :)

So any suggestions of day/night trips for a Monday day/night?
